VAUDE WOMEN’S AGILE AIR 18
In hot weather or on strenuous day hikes, the Women’s Agile Air 18 pack plays up its strengths: its Aeroflex 3D rear-ventilated suspension system creates a space between the pack and your back that is open on three sides. This allows air to circulate to all sides and significantly reduces heat buildup.
The Women’s Agile Air 18 has everything women need for hiking or everyday life: a padded compartment for your phone or sunglasses, an elastic mesh pocket on the side and enough volume for rain jacket, change of clothes and food. To top it off, of course, is also an attachment point for trekking poles.
The Ergoshape shoulder straps are adapted to the female form and fit comfortably without constricting. The hip belt can be removed. An elastic drawstring serves as a (bike) helmet holder or versatile attachment point for a jacket or sweat soaked shirt.
For the planet:
- Made from recycled materials and recycled PET plastic bottles. The bottles are collected, cleaned, melted down and processed into high-quality yarn.
- Made with eco-friendly, water-repellent Eco Finish and is manufactured without the use of environmentally-harmful fluorocarbons (PFC).
- This product is climate neutral. We’ve analyzed and reduced all emissions arising from materials, manufacturing, and shipping. Emissions that are currently unavoidable were fully offset by the independent non-profit organization.

Women have their own specific needs when it comes to backpack design. Our women’s backpacks are specifically engineered to meet these needs:
Torso length
Women are an average of 10 cm shorter than men – they have a shorter torso, and their shoulders are narrower. VAUDE women’s backpacks are designed to have a shorter back and are also smaller and narrower than the equivalent versions for men. This guarantees an optimal fit.
Shoulder straps
In general, women’s backs are narrower than men’s in the shoulder area. To make sure that the shoulder straps don’t chafe uncomfortably or pinch at the front, we’ve designed our women’s backpacks with s-shaped shoulder straps. This design makes the pack especially stable and keeps it from sliding around on your back. In addition, the height of the sternum strap can be adjusted to allow for the best fit possible.
