Eco Finish
Eco Finish – environmentally friendly water and stain resistant finish.
This water and stain resistant finish is applied to the outer fabric of your product so that water pearls up and runs right off – without the use of environmentally harmful fluorocarbons (PFCs). This protects you from the rain and keeps the planet clean. Regular reapplication is necessary for permanent waterproofing and stain resistance.

VAUDE UPHILL 9 LW

The lightweight VAUDE Uphill 9 LW bike backpack with 9L of carrying capacity protects your back and the environment. The eco-friendly manufactured material of this minimalist backpack consists of lightweight, siliconized 40D Rip-Stop while the outer mesh pockets consist of thin mesh material; even the shoulder straps, hipbelt and buckles were specifically designed to be extremely light in construction. To reduce the weight even more, the Uphill 16 LW also features our VENT-TEX Ultralight Suspension System. It was specifically engineered for road biking and mountain biking and/or day trips with a light load. The back panel was left out in this suspension system in order to reduce weight (without reducing the comfort level). The flexible suspension system follows your every move, whatever your riding position. Mesh padding along the spine ensures a comfortable fit, even on challenging trails. The padding doesn’t absorb moisture and it creates a large ventilation channel to keep air circulating across the back.

 

The outer multi-function drawcord system has a three-fold function: It can be used to compress the bag, as a helmet holder and as an additional attachment (to attach a jacket per example). The body-contact suspension system provides close-fitting carrying comfort on longer bike tours. You can stow an energy bar or gel in the shoulder strap pocket for a quick energy boost.
