Eco Finish
Eco Finish – environmentally friendly water and stain resistant finish.
This water and stain resistant finish is applied to the outer fabric of your product so that water pearls up and runs right off – without the use of environmentally harmful fluorocarbons (PFCs). This protects you from the rain and keeps the planet clean. Regular reapplication is necessary for permanent waterproofing and stain resistance.
PET Recycling
Recycled PET: high quality polyester made from recycled PET bottles.
Collect, clean, granulate and spin into high quality polyester yarn – that’s what’s involved in the recycling of PET bottles. In the manufacturing process, we can reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 50% while completely eliminating the use of new fossil fuels. This conserves resources and keeps our ecological footprint small.

The VAUDE Hidalgo 24+4 hiking backpack offers everything your kids or teens will need for their next hiking adventure: Sufficient space for provisions, pyjamas and spare clothes. The VAUDE Hidalgo 24+4 features a height-adjustable lid for 4L of extra volume, a separate compartment, a hip belt, a trekking pole attachment point, fastening loops and side mesh pockets. The VAUDE ErgoShape shoulder straps are soft and comfortable.

 

It’s made with eco-friendly, water-repellent Eco Finish and is manufactured without the use of environmentally-harmful fluorocarbons (PFC) and from recycled materials such as recycled PET plastic bottles. The bottles are collected, cleaned, melted down and processed into high-quality yarn.

 

This product is climate neutral. We’ve analyzed and reduced all emissions arising from materials, manufacturing, and shipping. Emissions that are currently unavoidable were fully offset by the independent non-profit organization. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable and bluesign® certified materials.
