VAUDE Aspe 17
Unpretentious, chic, upscale, that’s the VAUDE Aspe 17. An elegant urban backpack for work or play for the eco-aware. The special material mix made from hemp fibres with small colour inlays and organic cotton gives each bag a special, individualized flair. The inner life of this urban companion is just as well organized as it is functional: A tablet and laptop up to 15.6” each have a padded compartment in the main compartment, pens, phone, keys and small items can be quickly found thanks to the organizer. In addition, your gear, A4 documents and books can also be stowed from the top. And on the way to the bus stop or a café, you can slide your newspaper, a magazine or a snack into the open slide-in pocket at the front.
The VAUDE Aspe 17 also includes material that is made from recycled PET plastic bottles. The bottles are collected, cleaned, melted down and processed into high-quality yarn which we use to create brand-new VAUDE products, helping to conserve both resources and energy. Beautifully practical, practical beauty.
We also used biobased plastic containing castor oil. Normally, plastics are made from petroleum. In order to conserve this fossil resource, we went out in search of renewable alternatives. Castor oil grows without supplemental irrigation on poor soil and does not compete with the food chain. From the oil of the castor beans, we produce fibres for clothing and plastic components such as zippers, buckles and hooks. They have the same properties of conventional materials, only “greener”.
With our Green Shape label, we offer functional, environmentally-friendly products made from sustainable materials. They are manufactured under fair working conditions along the entire supply chain. The criteria for the label are strict and transparent. They are under constant review and cover the entire lifecycle of the product from design, through production, care and maintenance, to repair and the product’s end of life.
This product features our water repellent Eco Finish. Applied to the surface of your VAUDE product, it causes rainwater to simply bead up on the surface – without the use of environmentally-harmful fluorocarbons (PFC). Eco Finish protects you from the rain and helps keep nature clean.
