Fair & Partnership based
VAUDE is committed to good and fair working conditions, both at its production sites within Germany and in international production. VAUDE works with production facilities around the world where the company maintains cooperative and responsible business relationships. The independent organization Fair Wear Foundation regularly reviews all production facilities and ensures that working conditions are monitored and continuously improved.
At the VAUDE company headquarters in Tettnang, employees are supported in their quest to balance work and private life, through flexible working time models, home office, occupational health management, climbing and yoga classes, a gear lending pool and much more. VAUDE is also independently certified by the Familie und Beruf® Audit (Family and Working Life).
The Fair Wear Foundation
The Fair Wear Foundation is one of the most recognized and strictest standards in the field of social responsibility. This independent organization focuses primarily on the supply chain sewing industry, where labour-intensive processes take place and a large number of workers can be reached. Fair Wear Foundation therefore regularly carries out audits of individual production facilities.
In 2015, VAUDE reached the highest possible performance category as “Leader”. This status is attained when companies have at least 90% of their total production manufactured in facilities that are monitored in accordance with FWF requirements.
“At this year’s Brand Performance Check (BPC) by the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF), VAUDE achieved an audit rate of 100 % and a Benchmark Score of 94 % giving this mountain sports supplier from Tettnang the best rating of all member companies at the present time. These excellent results validate VAUDE’s position as a “Leader”; the company remains one of the few brands to have achieved this best possible category at the FWF.”
